To Fix or Not To Fix, That Is the Question

So I've been going back and re-reading some of my older captions, just for fun, and I've noticed a frightening number of typos, grammatical errors, or other little glitches. These annoy me. But, for the most part, they're not a huge deal (though I'm embarrassed by the grammatical errors). So the question is whether it's worth the time to go back, correct the mistakes, and re-post the corrected captions. Part of me thinks, nah, why bother. But another part of me says, hey, this is your work, you should be proud of it, and when you're not, you should fix it.

So what do you think? Is it worth my time? Is it a waste of time?

  1. It all comes down to your personal preference....

If it were me,, I'd only go through that hassle on captions or stories that were personal favorites. The others, are honest examples of where you were then, and can show how much you've improved...

But it's all up to you. I just love seeing more captions, new or old!

  2. I know exactly what you are talking about! I've redone several, sometimes to fix a bad layout, not just spelling or grammatical mistakes. I pretty much follow what you said... if I'm not proud of what I've done, I try to fix it.

  4. I think the fact that I'm even contemplating fixing the captions should tell me that the errors bug me enough that I should fix them, even if only for myself. On the other hand, the fact that I'm even thinking about whether to fix them means that it's probably no rush. So I think that I'll probably fix them ... when I get around to it. I'll try to remember to post an entry to let you know which captions have been fixed.
